The House of Tomorrow, Honestly

In May 1967, Elvis and Priscilla dodged the press by honeymooning in a rented futurist spaceship at 1350 Ladera Circle - William Krisel’s ‘House of Tomorrow’, four intersecting circles of glass, stone and swooping roof built in 1960 for the Alexander family, the developers whose tract houses fill half this town.

Seeing it

The exterior view is free from the Ladera Circle cul-de-sac, and it’s a genuinely great one - the house reads as sculpture from the street in a way the hedge-guarded estates don’t. The usual manners apply: it’s a residential street, so park considerately and keep the visit brief.

Going inside - the straight answer

Interior access has changed hands repeatedly: the house has cycled through private ownership, paid daily tours, event rental and sale listings over the years, and any page promising a standing tour schedule is guessing. Check the house’s current operator listing - or ask the visitor center - the week you travel; treat an open interior as a bonus, not a plan.
